Kijiji has a section called "Missed Connections." It's basically for people who "fall for" others but missed their chance to ask them out. Example:
"Friday night December 17 , you open the door for me.. you are a cute girl u drive away and i should it said something. i know is one in a million shot but i hope you read this and we can get to know each other.. "
That's cool. Maybe Kijiji will save the day, and they'll hook-up for a famous romance. But "Missed Connections" also seems to be a place for people who are just too chicken shit to make a move. Example:
"Sometimes I think about what could have been, had I the courage to flirt a little more with you back then. I thought maybe you were interested in me too...or maybe it was my imagination? While we still have common friends and I often see your picture show up on facebook in people you may know, I'm still too shy to step forward without an indication that you might have been thinking the same way. We used to work together, but not for very long, almost 6 years ago. Both of us are geeks, and the same age (32). I'm a girl, you're a guy.
If you think you're who I'm talking about, reply with a guess at my name and where we used to work."
OMG, you met this dude 6 years ago? Turn your computer off and ask him out already!
