I'm getting into the photo biz more seriously these days, gearing up, making plans and so on, so I'm often checking for deals at kijiji and usedregina. So today, I present two cameras for your consideration.
The first is currently available in Saskatoon: a Nikon D7000. If you're someone who's always wanted to try out a DSLR, this is a good unit. It's highly regarded in numerous online sites, with only a few flaws that make it fall short of "pro" status. But you likely won't notice if it's your first DSLR. It even does video, if that's something you want to experiment with.
And in Regina, someone is selling a Nikon D700 kit. I recently bought one of these cameras, and if I could afford it, I'd snap this one up as a second body today. This machine is universally regarded as Nikon getting nearly everything right, if you believe the review sites. It's a do-anything workhorse. The shooter even photographed it on a nice white background and arranged the gear all pretty-like. Maybe ask the D700 seller how many shutter actuations the unit has though. Nikon guarantees the unit to 150,000, so if it's near that, you'd probably pass, or offer significantly less on the price.
