I think vermicomposting needs to be rebranded. Sounds like vermin, which conjures disease, rats and plague. I suggest wrigglizing. It's fun to say, there's a Z, and wriggle conjures cuteness and childhood. "Wriggle out of those clothes" says my thesaurus. Aw.
Seller writes: $15 per pound of worms+castings. This is enough to start a Worm Factory or other vermicomposter in your home.
Please avoid disappointment by reading the following:
I do not separate adult worms from their castings/dirt (i.e. so that they may be used as bait or animal feed). When I sell by the pound, this does not mean that you are getting a pound of purely adult worms; the pound includes the weight of some castings/dirt. To the vermicomposter, this 'dirt' is even more valuable than the adult worms because it contains eggs and many thousands of baby worms that are important for starting a large colony quickly in your vermicomposter. To someone wanting adult worms to feed to their reptile, this may be disappointing unless they plan to start a colony using their purchase from me, and raise more adults themselves. Red Wrigglers are also not as thick of a worm as an earthworm so someone wanting to feed them to another animal may be disappointed in their size. They are most useful for eating compost; not so great for bulking up to use as feeders and likely difficult to put on a hook as bait.
If you want food for your pets, try A1 Aquarium.
Thanks!
