The ad at Used Regina grabs the attention. Sarah Palin's head (?); photoshoped (?); onto a body with gravity-defying cleavage. And what's with the ruler?
*cough*
I'll admit, it got my attention. The ad asks if you are Tired of Being Poor? and wouldn't it be great to Work From Home for a Viral Marketing Company?
You click, and it takes you to this five minute long crazy, over-the-top - but very effective - video that promises you opportunity and riches. Then they want your email.
So I smell scam, and I try to search it out. Thing is, all I can find is super positive reviews of the site, called Black Diamond Builders. (I didn't search long, I admit...) My hunch is that each person who drinks the cool-aid is instructed to make a blog with a post called "Is Black Diamond Builders a scam?" and then fill it with positive reviews about Black Diamond Builders, thus populating the net with positive, and making critique more difficult.
All I could find about the domain is that it seems to be registered to a construction company in Texas. The whole thing stinks, and it makes me sad that some people get sucked into pyramid/viral-marketing type scams.
Beware: it's a jungle out there.
